ACEO members share their experiences participating in the Program for School Innovation.
Mr. George Ghonos visited the 2nd High School of Kilkis and said that "There was a very good discussion with the students in the presence of the Director of the school and with the intervention of the General Director of Secondary Education of Kilkis".
Ms. Anthi Iliopoulou visited Rhodes Musical School and as said:"I admit it was a great experience". She also noted the importance of the program and took us the enthusiasm of teachers in relation to anything innovative and pioneering, not only for this program but for anything else it helps in the development of the students.
The meeting was attended by more than 15 students from all classes and some of the topics discussed were:
• Crisis and vocational rehabilitation
• Greece or abroad
• Occupations " of the future"
• Entrepreneur / freelancer vs employee
• Gift intelligence and abilities / skills
Mr. Pantelis Kouvelis visited the 2nd EPAL Maroussi and discussed with students what the structure of a company is and how it works on a daily basis. Students also raised questions and concerns about the labor market, occupations with the greatest potential and what is the structure of a CV.
Mr. Kouvelis told us about his experience: "The presence of private sector executives close to graduating, rather useful for tomorrow's fate ."
Mr. Taxiarchis Konstantopoulos visited the 1st Arsakeio Psychico High School and discussed with students about entrepreneurship and vocational guidance. Students also presented two projects that have engaged and asked him to comment (electronic school newspaper and the creation of a computer game in English referring to a tour guide in Athens).
Mr. Konstantopoulos said: "I had the opportunity to meet students with maturity and available for teamwork. It was an extremely interesting meeting and we all gained a lot".
Mr. Giannis Bouras visited three schools, 1st EPAL Preveza, Lyceum Elleousas Ioannina and 5th High School Ioannina and discussed with students the issue of running a business and how the digital age has affected the way communication and advertising products and companies.
Then exercises performed by students on how to promote local products and businesses through digital media.
Mr. Apostolos Petalas visited 1st EPAL Alexandroupolis and discussed with students about the stages conception, design and implementation of an innovative idea and how to separate into subgroups in order to complete these steps.
Mr. Stavros Tsavalos visited 4th GEL Korydallou and discussed with a group of teachers on ways to access students, benchmarking methods, management methods following typology, potential diffusion of experience and more efficient forms in other schools, goals posed to create a 'road map ' etc. Soon he will have a meeting with student groups.
Finally, Mrs. Villy Charitopoulou visited Aristotle College of Thessaloniki. Their first meeting began with brain storming, while students chose the topics of their next meeting.
